Do you have things that you are inexplicitly crazy for? Here’s mine;
- Wooden furniture. That might be from growing up with absolute crap. I used cardboard boxes for shelves.
- Paper. All kinds of paper, journals, pens and markers. Even though physical writing is excruciating for me and my penmanship is illegible.
- Books, but that’s not inexplicable. That would make bookshelves to die for π
- Globes and Maps. John is collecting maps for his future walk to Kaido. He wrote: “One traveler/photographer recommends getting hold of various local tourist maps, though even those donβt always capture more-recent road re-routing, landmark leveling, detours. Still, as tanaka1 points out, they are often fun and colorful.” You have no idea how cool those local maps are! I had quite a collection from all over the country but somewhere along the way I seem to have lost them all.
My youngest daughter has inherited all those likes from me. We drool over the bookshelves and she even got a globe of the moon finally!
Here’s some different kinds of map fun, compliments of google.
On a last note, Zemanta gave me lots of pictures of cardboard boxes to add to this post! lol
And…!! “Mapping the Average Penis Size Worldwide” Awesome. You’ll have to Google that for yourself, I’m not putting a link. π
That bookshelf is amazing!!!
Melissa and I want all of them. Every weird and original shelf there is. I’m gonna need a bigger house π

MOOOOOOOOOOOOM That map is from one of my new favorite books! It’s called Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld and it’s amazing! It’s full of art by the same person who did that map. And I would pretty much sell my soul for a poster of that map.
