While my kids were here yesterday and we were just hanging out sorting boxes of their old school papers, the sirens went off and I looked online and saw a tornado warning, heading our way. So we stood at the door watching the rain pouring down and the wind. It was blowing hard enough that soon I could see blue sky to the northwest, even though it was still raining here. Then the sun burst out and I said grab your cameras and we headed for the back door. Sure enough, there it was…just for us π
Oh aren’t you blessed! It’s painted all across your sky! Keep it as your own promise…..
Yep, it was just perfect π
Very nice picture!
After raining, my favoured thing to do is watching the rainbow, and let my imagination reach to itβs beautiful colors. π
I don’t see them very often, so it was special, that and the tornado didn’t hit us π
Woohoo, you got a nice one, with the full arc across the sky and all! Which is enhanced by the complete, lack of a sudden translocation to Oz via express funnel, *grin*. I hear the Winkies aren’t all that hospitable, anyway.
We get a lot of the type where you see two ends suggesting where the arc oughta be but that remain uncapped. Sometimes double partials, too, but not often the full arc. Very nice, and when you grabbed your camera, it was charged and ready, too. I’ll have to learn that one.

We thought we might end up with that whole transport to Oz π Lucked out on the camera and lucked out that I have a completely grody basement or we would have taken cover and missed it. So instead we watched for the tornado out the front door and when the sun burst through headed for the backdoor π
